Coaching can be a powerful tool for personal transformation and social change. However, it is typically only available to those with financial means. Many people who could most use coaching and use it for good in the world simply cannot afford it. It’s not only unfair, but the world loses out.
With this in mind, Spark of Genius offers coaching scholarships to aspiring change leaders with a big vision but limited financial means.
We are now officially accepting applications for our next coaching scholarship. Below, we lay out some program details.
Intended outcomes
Coaching can be used toward many ends. Ultimately, this is up to you. Some common goals my clients work toward include:
- Sustaining a more fulfilling, successful, and impactful career
- Transitioning into a new role, creative project, or way of being
- Cultivating their own authentic brand of leadership
- Fostering a lasting sense of peace and balance amid our chaotic world
- Making a real difference for our world
What I’m offering
- 10 one-hour coaching sessions over three months
- Written notes following every session
- Daily text/voice memo support as needed
- No cost to you. Typically my clients pay anywhere from $2000-$4000 for this same service.
Selection criteria
- You cannot afford coaching. (Honor system!)
- You are from population(s) underrepresented and/or systemically minoritized in the coaching realm (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQ).
- You intend to use coaching (in part) to support a role or project that contributes to the greater good.
Process
Applications for the next scholarship will be accepted through October 13, 2024. Applications will be reviewed by coach Peter Schulte and three members of the Spark of Genius Board of Directors. Applicants who do not meet each of the three criteria above will still be considered.
At this moment, we can only offer one scholarship at a time. As such, we expect this process to be competitive. Most that apply will not be selected. Please do not take this personally!
To allow us to provide scholarships to more than one person at a time, please consider contributing to our scholarship fund. For every $2000 donated collectively, we will take on one additional pro-bono client for three months.
