April 01, 2022 C.E.Recently, a group of scientists at Harvard University created a microfluidic organ chip that could replace the need for animals in scientific experiments related to immune system research, according to Optimist Daily. They named this device the Lymphoid Follicle (LF) chip. This new technology can predict immune responses to vaccinations to determine which variety may perform best in certain situations.
Compared with traditional animal testing, the creation of the LF chips caused significant changes in efficiency, cost, accuracy, and speed in testing. As a result, the LF chip could play a huge role in the scientific world in the future, in both a win for science and for animal rights.
