Resource Generation
Since its foundation in 1998, Resource Generation (RG) has worked to balance the scales and help more equitably distribute wealth, land, and power. RG organizes young people (18-35) with wealth and/or class privilege and encourages them to donate money to grassroots organizations that the group believes will make a meaningful change for wealth equality. RG members not only donate money, but also join protests, speak at city council meetings, and found donor networks. The Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty
The Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty Initiative is a civil society campaign for a global treaty that would end new fossil fuel exploration and expansion, phase out existing production in line with the global commitment to limit warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, and accelerate the transition towards using sustainable energy sources. The Treaty aims to be a complementary mechanism to the Paris Agreement by directly addressing the fossil fuel industry and putting the just transition at its core. Reinventing Organizations is a book written by Frederic Laloux that chronicles the different structures of human organization that have existed throughout history, and proposes a new one. This new organization, referred to by Laloux as a ‘teal organization,’ is built on three pillars related to wholeness, self-management, and evolutionary purpose. Published in 2014, Reinventing Organizations starts out by journeying through human history and exploring the paradigm shifts that human organizations have gone through, before examining whether humans may be going through a shift currently. 4 Day Week Global is a New Zealand-based not-for-profit community established by Andrew Barnes and Charlotte Lockhart to provide a platform for those who are interested in supporting the idea of the four-day week as a part of the future of work. With help from local researchers and researchers from Cambridge University, Boston College, and Oxford University, 4 Day Week Global coordinates pilot programs where businesses can try a 6-month trial of a four-day work week, with no loss in pay for employees. Eden Reforestation Projects works alongside local communities in Madagascar, Mozambique, Kenya, Nepal, Indonesia, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Brazil to produce, plant, and protect tens of millions of trees every month.
